- Compatible door thickness: fits doors/walls about 0.8–2.0 inches thick.
- Best for: most cats and small dogs — we recommend for pets up to ~20 lbs (examples: Chihuahuas, Toy Poodles, Yorkshire Terriers). For larger pets this opening will be too small.

How to measure your pet (quick):
- Measure shoulder height: floor to top of shoulders. For comfortable passage, shoulder height should be about 1 inch less than the flap height (so aim for ≤ ~7 inches).
- Measure shoulder width: widest point across the shoulders. Leave ~1 inch clearance on each side of the flap (recommended max shoulder width ≈ 7.5 inches).
- Measure your door thickness where you plan to install the unit; it should be between 0.8 and 2.0 inches thick.
- Quick checklist: If your pet's shoulder height is ≤ ~7 inches, shoulder width ≤ ~7.5 inches, and your door is 0.8–2.0 inches thick, this pet door should work well.
