How to choose and measure:
- Measure your dog from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail while your dog is lying naturally (not stretched fully upright). Use that length to choose a mat at least 4–6 in longer than your dog's measured length for comfort.
- Measure the widest part of your dog (usually the shoulders). Choose a mat with width at least 4 in wider than that measurement so your dog can turn or curl comfortably.
- If your dog sleeps tightly curled, prioritize length over width; if your dog sleeps sprawled, prioritize width and choose the next size up.
- When in doubt, pick the larger size for extra comfort — mats are thin and easier to fold or layer than to replace for being too small.
