Based on the design and images, this tether is best suited for small-to-medium dogs up to about 60 lbs (for example: French Bulldogs, Beagles, Cocker Spaniels, Boston Terriers).

• Not recommended as the sole restraint for very large or powerful dogs (over ~60 lbs); for those dogs use a crash-tested car harness designed for large breeds.

How to confirm this will fit your dog and car

1. Put your dog in the car wearing the harness you normally use and attach the tether to the harness D-ring.
2. Clip the other end into your car's seat belt buckle (or attach as shown in the product images) and adjust so your dog can comfortably sit, stand, and lie down without reaching the front seat.
3. If the tether allows the range from the harness D-ring to the buckle while keeping a short, secure slack, it will fit well.
