- 1) Measure the vertical distance from the floor to the seat/bed/couch your dog needs to reach. The ladder height is 15.0 in; it works best when the surface is the same height or no more than a few inches higher.
- 2) Measure your dog’s shoulder height — for comfort the dog’s shoulder should be equal to or lower than the top of the ladder.

- Unpacking note: The ladder is compressed for shipping. Carefully cut away packaging with scissors (do not use a utility knife on the product), then let it sit 1–2 days to return to its original shape.
