- Dog length: measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail. If your dog can comfortably lie down within your car's back-seat width and weighs under ~80 lbs, this carrier should be suitable.
- Car seat size: measure your vehicle's back-seat width (left to right) and seat depth (front edge to backrest). The carrier installs as a hammock that spans the bench using the front and rear headrests, so ensure the bench provides enough flat area for your dog to lie down.
- Dog weight: use your dog's current weight as a guide — for active jumpers or very heavy dogs, allow extra room and consider using a harness for added security.
